After a bios upgrade to version 2.90 from Windows 10 (1903) the computer no longer wants to boot Windows or Linux and freezes also after some time in the bios menu, or even at POST. The Windows boot fails with the bsod error WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR.
It started with being unable to update Windows 10 to 22h2 version. The update took a really long time and then it would restart or crash and show the below error at POST. I only saw the POST error and wasn't there myself when it happened.
POST error
927 Fatal memory error
CHA0 error detected
So far I've tried reseating the CPU, ruling out defect memory modules and updating the bios again to 2.90. A bios downgrade to 2.86 failed because it already got stuck while copying the firmware.
The images attached show the errors I got while trying to boot either Parted magic or Ubuntu setup.
I'm suspecting the CPU or even the motherboard. Am I right?
