I have several of these machines and the one I held as a spare needed some hardware upgrades.  It is configured as dual boot machine with original windows 10 and openSUSE Leap 15.6 with openSUSE and grub on nvme but original windows system and uefi etc on ssd.  This has been working fine until I booted to windows after a long period not being used in windows.  As a result the windows system required very significant updates and several reboots, one of which I suspect updated the system bios.  The end result is that I can no longer bot into windows, in fact I cannot boot even to a usb to reinstall on the ssd.  All I get is a black screen with HP logo and a ring of circulation dots.  At no time can I get any windows start or anything similar.
I have checked bios and this has indeed been updated and I can still boot to openSUSE but I cannot get to windows or any of the hp tools I need to check before I upgrade the cpu and memory etc.
Any help would be appreciated.

as fat32 Hi,
I should add that I used rufus on 16GB toshiba stick formatted with fat32 and had all the bios settings as suggested, no secure boot, uefi only and usb boot at top of list with most disabled.
