Hi @Lady-A56,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP All-in-One computer is stuck on the loading screen and doesn't proceed further, it can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

  • Hard Reset: Sometimes, a simple hard reset can fix minor software glitches. To do this, turn off the computer, unplug it from the power source, and then hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Safe Mode: Boot your computer in Safe Mode to see if it loads successfully. Safe Mode loads a minimal set of drivers and can help determine if a third-party software or driver is causing the issue. To boot into Safe Mode, repeatedly press the F8 or F10 key (varies by model) right after you see the HP logo during startup. From there, you can try to identify and uninstall any recently installed software or drivers that may be causing the problem.
  • System Restore: If Safe Mode doesn't work, you can try using System Restore to revert your computer to a previous state when it was working correctly. To do this, you will need a Windows installation or recovery disk.
  • Check for Hardware Issues: Sometimes, hardware problems can cause boot issues. Check if any external devices (like USB drives or external hard drives) are connected and try booting without them. If you have recently installed new hardware, such as additional RAM or a new hard drive, make sure it's properly seated.
  • Check for Disk Errors: A corrupted or failing hard drive can cause boot problems. You can use the built-in Windows utility called CHKDSK to scan and repair disk errors. To do this, boot into Safe Mode with Command Prompt and run the following command: chkdsk /f
  • Repair or Reinstall Windows: If none of the above steps work, you may need to repair or reinstall Windows. This can be done using the Windows installation or recovery disk. Be sure to back up your important data before attempting this, as it may result in data loss.
  • Hardware Diagnostics: HP computers often have built-in hardware diagnostics tools that can help identify hardware problems. You can access these tools during startup by pressing a specific key (usually F2, F9, F10, or Esc) when you see the HP logo. Run the diagnostics to check for any hardware issues.

Remember to try these steps one at a time and proceed to the next if the previous one doesn't resolve the problem.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
