Hi @Tony815616,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The 4 beeps and 5 times with a flashing red light on your HP desktop indicate a specific hardware error. The exact meaning of the beep codes can vary based on the model of your HP desktop. Here are some general troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Check Power Supply:

  • Ensure that the power cable is securely connected to the desktop and the wall outlet.
  • Check if the power outlet is working by plugging in another device.

Reseat Components:

  • Power off the computer and disconnect it from the power source.
  • Open the case and reseat the RAM modules, graphics card, and other internal components to ensure they are properly connected.

Check for Loose Cables:

  • Ensure that all internal cables are securely connected, including power cables to the motherboard and other components.

Inspect for Damage:

  • Look for any visible signs of damage, such as burnt components or swollen capacitors.

Clear CMOS:

  • Try clearing the CMOS by removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes and then reinserting it. This will reset the BIOS settings.

Test with Minimal Configuration:

  • Remove all non-essential components and peripherals, such as additional hard drives, expansion cards, and USB devices, and try starting the computer with only the essential components (CPU, one stick of RAM, and the power supply).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
