Linux may find the built in video before it sees the GPU
I have several Ubuntu system running BOINC apps for gridcoins. I install ubuntu desktop with at least one of the GPUs and for some of the (really older) motherboards I need to disable internal video with a jumper or specify to use PCIe first. Once one of the NVidia is recognized then I can add the others. Here is one system.
some of these are now running windows 11 as I did the free upgrade from7 to 11 when I heard that microsoft was going to stop the free upgrade All I did was install win11 and use the OEM serial number from windows 7 to activate.

Ye, that's pretty good stuff imo, I was thinking about selling this thing and buying a Dell r730XD, I'm annoyed with all this proprietary crap lol. I don't want to have to spend 150 dollars on a proprietary PSU, when I can spend 40 in a better one from someone else. Plus, the r730XD is faster for cheaper

Some of the newer RTX boards like the RTX-4060 only use 300 watts. You might try selling the 2060
Windows 12 is coming out later this year, you might want to hold off till then.

Yeah, I was tempted to sell, but the GPU is the centerpiece of my jellyfin server, as I have a lot of old clients, so transcoding everything is required. Plus, I actually think windows 12 might drop the value of the 1011, as it's gonna be seen as older.
