HP ENVY Desktop - TE01-1175xt

A couple of times/day my system is becoming unresponsive. There are always 3 errors in the event log, all revolving HPWarrantyChecker.exe. The only way I can use the system is to do a hard shutdown/restart. There is no service running that I can find to stop, nor is there any app to uninstall. How do I get rid of the HP warranty checking??
