You are welcome, @Dforce10. You are spot on. However, this forum is not the same as many other forums. Members don't necessarily come back day after day just to visit. Therefore, as I said, once the thread has a Solution the only members who are notified of your post are those who have posted to it in the past.

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that you have an HP laptop and it gives a message as boot device not found. You tried getting into F2 menu and also the F10 (BIOS) and it does not get there. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.
I would like to know the following information to assist you better:
- The exact product model no. This link will help you to find the model no: http://hp.care/2bygf7l
- Was the computer performance slow before this issue started?
- Did any changes take place on the laptop recently?
Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue:
- Power off the laptop. Press and hold the power button until it powers off.
- Remove the battery out. If the battery is non-removable and is integrated then leave the battery in the laptop.
- Disconnected AC adapter from the laptop.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter.
- Power ON the laptop.
If the issue persists then please perform a crisis BIOS recovery using the steps from this link: http://hp.care/2bXONjA (Refer to Recovering the notebook BIOS using a key press combination.)
I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Please let me know what happens. Cheers! 🙂

You're welcome. 🙂
I'm glad to know that my post helped in fixing the issue. I must say that technical steps can only be provided. But it was you who implemented them to perfection.
You can go back to Win8 either by performing a system recovery from the recovery partition or by using the recovery media.
Please refer to the steps mentioned under "Performing system recovery on notebook PCs 2014 and newer (white background)" from this link: http://hp.care/2c7wZSQ
NOTE: If the recovery partition is not working then it will not allow you to go back to Win8. In such a case, you need to use the recovery media that you may have created or contact HP phone support to get a copy of those.
Hope this information helps. Keep me posted for any further questions. Have a good day! 🙂
