I was on my computer today and the error came up as shown in the photo.
every video I watch or every step by step I watch tells me to select things that I don’t have access to or I don’t have on my menu option. I’m stuck and have no idea what to do next.

This nearly always means the primary drive is failing, will need to be replaced, and Windows reinstalled on the PC.
See the following HP Guide for more information:

I went onto this website and tried to follow the instructions but the options that’s given are totally different to what I see on my screen. I can’t even check inside for any loose connections because I have no idea how to get into it. There are no screws anywhere. Feel totally lost with it all.
thanks for your reply

I was unable to find a youtube video for the 24-ca series but it is probably same as 24-cb or many others
The upgrading and servicing guide show disassembly but in pictorials

@WAWood is correct, the drive is failing but have you run diagnostics?
There may be more than disk problems.
Tap the ESC key after powering on and select the F2 options for memory and disk diagnostics
Please provide the Product ID or Model name for better assistance. Preferably the full product ID including the characters after the # symbol. This code may be needed to find cloud recovery files.

You have cloud recover
21:58 in this video the SSD is removed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0Qlgdgg-xw
Replace the SSD with any size in your budget. You can use a GEN-4 or a GEN-3 SSD but the GEN-4 will run at GEN-3 speed
Go to the below site and enter your product ID including the 3 characters after the # character
You can restore your system using a 32gb flash.
It may take an hour or more to create the recovery USB.

Install original OS then attach your defective drive to a USB adapter and try a windows repair. The drive letter may be D or E since C will be the new SSD.
If it cannot be repaired then try one of the forensics apps such as File Scavenger to recovery any uncorrupted files.
