Have a HP 510-P127C PC.

When the computer is on. every so often the Heat Sink cooling fan speeds up for a few seconds and then goes back to normal running mode.

Had this system for 2 years and never had an issue until a few months ago.

Is the fan bad or something with the heat sink ??

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer if you have not opened up the case in the two years you've owned the PC, would be to inspect for dust buildup inside.

Dust will clog the heatsink fins and prevent air from passing through to help cool the components..

If you see a lot of dust in there, clean it out with a can of compressed air.

Shut down and unplug the PC before working inside of it.
