Okay, so right now I am trying to change my computer up to be able to run more straining games such as Metro: Last light, Battlefield 3, and The Witcher 2.

If it matters I have been comfortably running Skyrim and Dishonored but, I just want to be able to run the new games that have been coming out.

Sorry for rambling on but, my solution is to purchase a better graphics card. I might get a NVIDIA 780 card. Then I figure I'll be good.

Right now my computer specs are: Operating System: Windows 8 64-Bit (6.2, Build 9200) Processor: Inter(R)Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), 3.4GHz System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard System Model: h8-1120 Available OS Memory: 8174MB RAM

Card Name: NVIDIA GeForce GT 530 Display Memory: 4047 Current Model: 1920 x 1080 (32-bit) (60hz) Output Type: HDMI

Other Accessorys:

  • Razer Deathstalker Ultimate

  • Razer Mamba

  • Logitech Speakers

So here are my more so, official question now that you have the info.

  1. If I were to get such a powerful card would I NEED to upgrade anything else, if so what would I need to upgrade and what would you suggest?

  2. Would you suggest this card?

  3. Any other tips to help boost my performance.

Sorry but that model cannot run NVidia 700, 900, and 1000 series cards as they require UEFI BIOS.  That model line did not upgrade the BIOS version to allow the newer graphics cards.
