Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After every boot, my HP All-in-One 24-f0xx  takes about 5-10 minutes for the disk activity to go substantially below 100% so that I can begin to do some work.

Can I get a list of the programs that run during this time so that I might be able to limit their disk usage somehow?

Thanks,

Jack

How can I get a list of the programs that are running during boot time so that I might be able to identify one or more of them as high disk usage culprits?  I've suspected Microsoft Office for a long time but have no evidence to support that.

Thanks,

John

we need the exact model of your computer, and the product number

You have the list of programs that opens at startup, where I indicated to you previously
Then you have the services, some should not be disabled, but for testing you can disable non-microsoft ones
It is rather for informed users
in search write Msconfig
open the program, and click the services tab
check 'hide all microsoft services'
Then you can turn everything off, apply Ok, and restart

This will prevent the operation of many programs
I invite you to test the hard drive anyway
