OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 870-216na

Hi, I have installed a larger 120mm system fan on my omen and now during boot, I get an error as the new fan runs at a lower rpm.  Is there a way to edit the bios?  I have looked in the bios and under thermal all you get are the current RPMS  but no option to override the system fan settings.  The fan is working fine and there is no issue with cooling.  The new fan runs around 950-1000rpm  old fan at 1020rpm and the difference is enough for the bios to through up the error.

Hi @bob1052

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Fan speed curve adjustments are generally not available on HP MBs.

Unfortunately you will have to live with the BIOS fan error at startup.

Regards
