I am trying to install Linux on my old HP computer (my new one is a HP one too). I can't seem to boot from my USB, there is no option to boot from my USB in the BIOS. Please help me.

If you look in the BIOS and change the boot order, F9, then it will display viable options for a boot device.  The USB flash drive needs to be bootable and in a USB port at that time.

To get into the BIOS, try this

Start tapping the Esc key BEFORE starting the PC and then press the start button.
Keep tapping the Esc key until a popup menu shows. Then pick Boot Device Options from that popup menu, F9.
Report back with the results, if that does not work.
