I'm getting a BIOS error that it's not detecting my CPU fan. But the fan is working. I've tried another fan that also works and I keep getting the same error. Unfortunately it appears that my BIOS doesn't have an option to ignore CPU fan messages. I updated to the latest BIOS that HP has for this PC and the option is still not there. Is there any way I can tell the BIOS to ignore this message with another option or perhaps a third party BIOS?

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

I am not aware of any way to get around this POST error message if there is no BIOS setting to disable this. Updating to a third party BIOS, if you could find one, is not recommended.

You probably have a MB sensor problem if the CPU fan is working correctly.

Regards
