Buongiorno, da alcuni giorni cerco di toglier uefi (EFI) dal pc per poter installare win7 senza uefi .... ma non ci riesco.
Ho letto questoa spiegazione :
ma non è quella del mio pc.
Il pc è un Hp Compaq 8200 elite MT-PC
Qualcuno puo' aoitarmi ??
Grazie in anticipo.

I don't know what to tell you.
I have two 8200 Elite CMT's and I had no problem installing any operating system on them from XP to W10.
All I do is boot up the PC. Tap the ESC key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen.
Then I get a list of options.
I select the F9 boot options menu.
Now, I am going to type exactly what I see on my screen when I select the F9 Boot options menu for you...
Please select boot device:
EFI Boot Sources
Legacy Boot Sources
ATAPI CD/DVD Drive
> SATA 2
HARD Drive
SATA 0
Up and Down to move selection (actually shows an up arrow and a down arrow, but I don't know how to type that).
Enter to select boot device
ESC to boot using defaults.
The item I highligted in red is where you have to move the down arrow key to, in order to boot from a DVD.
It does not boot from the DVD drive if you put the arrow next to the ATAPI CD/DVD drive.
Unlike you, I never have had a PC so nice as this one.
I liked it so much, I bought a second one that was in used condition for my wife a few years later to replace her dc7800 CMT.

Hi:
See chapter 2, page 9 of the service manual below...
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04224518
Under the boot order section of the BIOS, select F5 to disable EFI boot, and then you should be able to boot from the Legacy sources (USB or DVD) and install W7.

I did this:
ESC - F10 - Storage - Boot order - EFI boot sources - F5 ( disabled) - F10
File- save and exit - yes.
But, with the inserted DVD does not boot from dvd .
I also tried with: ESC - F9 - enter on CD/DVD ....but it does not accept ENTER on CD/DVD.
I just think I'll change the PC and never get more of an HP.
It is not possible for a machine to do what it wants and not to do that
that you want to do it.
I've been using PCs since 1980 but I have never had a PC so bad in terms of bios and settings !

io faccio cosi':
ESC - F9 ( appare il menu')
Please select boot device
Sorgenti di boot efi
HP CDDVDW SH-216 aln
Sorgenti di boot precedenti
disco fisso
SATA 0
IBA GE Slot 00C8 v1381
unita cd/dvt atapi
SATA 2
io seleziono : HP CDDVDW SH-216 aln
perchè questo è dove ho messo ilo DVD di installazione di win7.
Ma, non parte il dvd di installazione ma parte come al solito win7. Dove sbaglio ?

I am copying what you wrote...You have to select SATA 2 under unita cd/dvt atapi to boot from the DVD drive.
