My Hp Envy 700-430 qe cto my PC has been working perfectly ever since I bought it.
My Problem my son n law had a nvidia 2040 or something like that which wouldn't work so we put it in my pc to see if it would work, It did not
after that my pc will boot up and show my hard drives in the bios, but won't boot up If I put in a cd or dvd it will go to press any key to boot from cd or dvd then hp logo comes on an will not go any further, I have tried secure and legacy modes with no luck .
I'm thinking it did something to th motherboard but I can't tell.
Any help would be appreciated . hope i explained it ok. Just remember I can't get into the system to do anything.

Hi
unplug everything, leave only the keyboard, mouse, and screen
With the computer completely off, remove the power plug
Long press the power button
Then reconnect the computer, press the on button, and go directly into the bios!
Select , load default, save exit!
Either it works, in this case all the better
But if it does not work indicated exactly, what happens at startup

I did like you said, everything seems to start right in legacy or secure boot, Boot manager, hard drive, windows comes up if i press any I get press f8 I did and pressed safe mode get logo then nothing.
It will also preparing automatic repair then nothing. When i did load default it went to legacy so i guess that's what it should be in.
It seem like it must be something simple. Oh when i load cd it goes to logo after a few minutes keyboard light goes out and next the hard drive stops.
Thank you for your help.

Sorry but with the translations, it's a bit difficult for me..
I just ask you, once the bios settings, loaded by default, start normally, and tell me what exactly is happening .. nothing more for the moment
But if you have an attempt to repair, then, do the full tests and just give me the result, if error code indicate it:

sorry @johncrosno
but i think you are getting the wrong idea
you are not wasting my time, otherwise, I would have just given up;
You are misinterpreting my words, I think.
I use a translator, and it doesn't always correspond exactly to what I might want to say!
And sometimes, we don't understand, and we have to repeat, otherwise if possible..
So, sorry, but no, I was asking you to answer this
" But if you have an attempt to repair, then, do the full tests and just give me the result, if error code indicate it:

the tests here, could indicate, if you have a hardware problem
