Product: HP Z440 Workstation
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Yo.
So I purchased a Z440 workstation that came with a Nvidia NVS 310. I'm looking to replace the GPU. The PC will boot and post with the stock card. With a new GPU, on boot the the GPU fan will spin showing that its getting power then a red light will flash on the motherboard and a beep will play 6 times. The diagnosis seems to be a GPU issue. I have tried swapping to a MSI RX580 and SAPPHIRE R9 280 and have been receiving the same issue. Both of the cards have been tested and are working in other computers.
