At 1st I had problems booting up my computer with the automatic system repair, once i did bootrec fixboot and got that taken care of. Now it says I’m missing the file but I’m not able to get towards the command prompt since I don’t got a usb. I need an agent to install it into my computer

@jenssel, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with a tricky situation. Here are a few steps you can try to access the Command Prompt and repair your system without a USB:

Advanced Startup Options:

  • Restart your computer and press F11 immediately to access the Advanced Startup screen.
  • Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Command Prompt.

Shift + Restart:

  • If you can get to the login screen, hold down the Shift key while clicking Restart.
  • This should take you to the Advanced Startup screen where you can select Command Prompt.

Force Restart:

  • Force your computer to restart two or three times by pressing the reset button or power button until the system recovery program appears.
  • Choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Command Prompt.

Once you have access to the Command Prompt, you can try using the System File Checker (SFC) and Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tools to repair the missing or corrupted system files:

Run DISM:

  • Type DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and press Enter.

Run SFC:

  • Type sfc /scannow and press Enter

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hello, I am not able to get to the command prompt/ recovery place. Would you guys be able to call an IT tech down with the proper recovery tools so I can run those scripts on the command prompt?
