I attempted to do a clean install of Windows 10 on my HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0013w. I cannot complete the install. It comes to the end and I get stuck on a blue blank screen. After doing basic maintenance, I ended up changing the HDD. Still the same issue. I found that this is not just happening to me. The problem is the bios F.57. All I need is a BIN file for the newest bios issued by HP for my desktop. If I go through the HP Support all they give me is the exe. file. Does anyone know how to get the BIN file associated with the newest bios?

Hi @jbranin
Welcome to the HP Forum.
BIOS update F.57 caused problems on many 690 series PCs with the Sunflower (8433) MB.
Download sp149071.exe on a different PC. Run the executable on the host PC.
You will get the option to create a USB BIOS recovery drive.
Connect this USB stick to the 690. Start the PC. The BIOS recovery process should update the BIOS to F.60 unless the PC is cooked. If so, then you might need to use the F.60 BIOS update to program the BIOS with a Serial BIOS Programmer.
You don't need the BIOS .bin file if the USB recovery option works.
We were using a Hiren's flash drive which had the Aptio V AMI Firmware Update Utility added to the drive to fix the F.57 BIOS problem back in February, 2023 or so.
At this time HP was not offering a USB BIOS recovery option on HP Desktop PCs and a newer BIOS update was not available so we had to roll the BIOS back to an earlier version to fix the problem. Check this Forum link for more info.
BTW, I used 7Zip in February, 2023 to check every file in the F.55 BIOS update which extracts to 8433F55.exe but I could not identify the .bin file. I know it is there somewhere.
Aptio did see 8433F55.exe and was ready to flash the F.55 BIOS to the BIOS chip.
