what does driver_pnp_watchdog mean? My computer goes from "black screen" with spinning wheel to blue screen for hours. What is going on? Also this is on a desktop not a notebook.

Greetings @CashJune
Welcome to the HP Forum.
Windows and HP may display various blue screen error conditions.
A DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG bug check blue screen means you have a possible driver problem. Are you seeing any different types of blue screens?
This could also be caused by faulty hardware. Disconnect unnecessary USB peripherals. Only use a mouse and keyboard. Try connecting the mouse and keyboard to all available USB ports.
You could try to check hardware using HP Diagnostics. I can't say if this possible. Getting this done depends upon your PC's condition.
Start the PC. Repeatedly tap the "ESC" key.
Select "F2". Run system and component tests to confirm: a drive problem, a memory problem, or other component problem. Run extensive tests.
Let the Forum know if you can check hardware.
Regards

Greetings @CashJune
Hardware seems to be okay if diagnostic tests passed.
Fixing corrupted drivers when you can't run Windows is a sticky wicket. Your Windows installation must have an extreme problem with a core system driver.
You will have to try a fix using the Windows 11 Recovery Environment (WinRE). Frankly, I have had a mostly miss experience trying to fix a severely corrupted Windows installation when using the WinRE.
Check this Site showing how to get to safe mode when Windows won't load. Then check this Site showing things to try to fix Windows while in safe mode.
You could also try various WinRE options at the Advanced options menu: Startup Repair, Uninstall Updates, or System Restore.
I would try to backup data to external media while in safe mode. Or remove the system drive, connect this drive to a different PC as a data drive, back up data to the second PC or external USB media.
You may have to reinstall W11 if things don't go as planned.
You're in a tough situation. Maybe a different Forum member has additional insight on how to fix your problem.

Greetings @CashJune
Thanks for clarifying this.
You would have to try the troubleshooting steps suggested in my previous response.
Your PC's issue can be difficult to fix, especially in a Forum.
You might have to have a local PC Tech take a look. Do you have a family member or a friend who can assist?
