So I'm trying to install a much newer graphics card on my hp z420. The graphics card that i'm trying to install is Gigabyte GTX 1060 6gb G1 which released on somewhere around 2016 which more younger that the board it self that came out around 2012. The problem is that there's no display comming out from the vga at all, instead I got a beep error with no light error. Is there something that I have to configure first on bios or something else caused the problem. Btw Gigabyte GTX 1060 is a 8 pin GPU, while my hp Z420 only came with one single 6 pin vga power cable, so I use an adapter from molex to 6 pin, then I connect it to double 6 pin to 8 pin adpter. But the problem is that there's no display at all. My previous GPU was Gigabyte 8500GT which is very old considering it was first released aroud 2009. If there's something I could do or I could fix, please tell me. Thanks.
Ps : sorry for bad english

It looks like your Z420 only has the 400W PSU? Please check its power rating - (on the PSU label). Please see the below information from the HP Z420 Maintenance and Service Guide, (under the Manuals section).
The GTX 1060 is a 120W GPU card and will not run with the Z420 400W PSU. Your only options are; upgrade to the 600W PSU (about £30 on ebay), or install a lower power GPU card.
