Hi!
I wanted to update my BIOS, but the latest version from HP website is F.34, when I already have F.40 installed. I tried to install an F.43 BIOS from a similar system (TG01-1000i), but got an error that this version is somehow older than my current. How can I get a newer BIOS, if that even exists?

as already explained a few times here, the bios may be up to date with a more recent version than what can be found in the model's support pages!
this can happen with hp support assistant, or windows update!
so if you don't have any more recent updates, there aren't any others!
Contrary to popular belief, you don't need to update the bios as often as a driver update!
On the one hand, you may not have any particular improvements!
nothing says that the update will solve your problem, if you have a particular one!
And above all, read the many posts here, with bios, corrupted, failed computers rendered unusable
and most who tell you to do so will be unable to help you fix it!
so 8BG55AV give this
