My HP Laptop "Protected by HP Sure Start" showed an error indicating that it could not boot because the hard disk drive could not be found.
I could enter the BIOS and run some diagnostics. And it indeed mentioned there was no hard drive. I found a suggestion to check the cables, so I opened the laptop but I closed it again because I could not see immediately where the drive would be.

I tried to run the diagnostics but it does not let me enter the setup menu (boot + Esc) results in showing "Entering Setup Menu ..."  at the bottom left corner - but nothing happens - when tapping F2 it shows "Entering System Diagnostics..." - nothing happens ... toggling between F2 and F10 switches between the 2 messages without showing any menu to select from.
