Have you done what I recommended?
When you open the unit to check on a loose connection, be prepared to replace the hard drive.

That type of error is normally caused by either damaging the hard drive or forcing the connection by the drop. When you open the unit to check on a loose connection, be prepared to replace the hard drive.

Most likely the files are gone. Without a complete model number of the PC, it is hard to give good advice. Hard drives are not too expensive.
I am confused. In the first post "Hi my hp laptop can't reboot stop s at the blue hp logo. It fell on the floor."
Now "Will this mean I loose all my files on the desktop?" So which is it - desktop or laptop?

More information than "it is Hp Pavilion, Intel lris Graphics, core i5 and a laptop" There are many laptops that fall into that catagory.
Somewhere on the laptop it should give more information. Maybe under the battery, if removed. That is if you want better information on how to proceed.

Hello; My laptop dropped from a bed down on to a capet (not soft). When started stops at the blue HP logo and cannot proceed. I have done system extensive test and was canceled after Vedio Memory check showed "software error". All other tests show passed. What could be the problem?
