Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it can be when your laptop suddenly stops working. Based on the blink code you're seeing 3 long and 2 short blinks on the Caps Lock LED this typically indicates a potential memory failure or BIOS corruption failure on HP laptops.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Perform a Hard Reset

This helps clear any residual electrical charge that might be causing the issue.

  • Disconnect the AC adapter.
  • Remove the battery (if removable).
  • Press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and AC adapter.
  • Try turning on the laptop.

Attempt BIOS Recovery

HP laptops have a built-in BIOS recovery feature.

  • Turn off the laptop completely.
  • Press and hold the Windows + B keys (or Windows + V on some models), then press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds.
  • Release the Power button but continue holding the Windows + B/V keys for another 10 seconds.
  • If the BIOS recovery screen appears, follow the on-screen instructions.

Reseat the Memory (RAM)

In some cases, issues with the memory (RAM) can cause a similar blink pattern. Try reseating the RAM:

  1. Power off the laptop and disconnect the power cable.
  2. Remove the back panel of the laptop (you may need a screwdriver).
  3. Locate the RAM sticks, gently remove them from the slots, and reseat them firmly.
  4. Reassemble the laptop and try powering it on again.

Perform a BIOS Update via USB (if possible)

If the BIOS recovery doesn't work, you can try updating the BIOS via a USB:

  1. Download the latest BIOS for your specific HP laptop model from the HP Support website.
  2. Create a bootable USB drive with the BIOS file following the instructions provided by HP.
  3. Insert the USB into the laptop and boot using the USB (you may need to press F10 or Esc during startup to access the boot menu).

I hope this helps.
