Hi @Antony_Inigo, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your laptop's cooling fan issue might have led to overheating, which can prevent it from turning on. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
- Hold down the power button for about 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the power adapter (without the battery) and try turning on the laptop.
Check the Power Supply:
- Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the laptop and the wall outlet.
- Try using a different power outlet or adapter to rule out any issues with the power source.
Inspect for Overheating:
- Make sure the laptop is on a flat, hard surface to allow proper ventilation.
- Use compressed air to clean out any dust from the vents and cooling fan.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
