I'm trying to turn on my laptop but there's no sound of fan or starting up, instead the light near charger plug is blinking orange and white.

Hi @Immukher,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The blinking orange and white light on your HP 14 Laptop usually indicates a power or battery issue. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot.

Check Power Supply:

  • Ensure the charger is properly connected to both the laptop and the power source.
  • Try using a different power outlet.
  • If possible, use another compatible charger to see if the issue persists.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if it's removable).
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15-30 seconds to drain any residual power.
  • Reconnect the power adapter (without the battery) and try turning the laptop on.

Inspect the Battery:

  • If you have a removable battery, reinsert it securely after performing the hard reset.
  • If the battery is built-in, you might need to have it checked by a technician if the laptop doesn’t turn on after the reset.

Check for Faulty Hardware:

  • If the above steps don’t work, there could be an issue with the internal components.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
