@JR32349, Welcome to the HP Support Community – it’s great to have you here!

I appreciate you taking the time to share your question. I'm more than happy to assist with this and provide a solution that works for you.

If you're locked out of your HP Pavilion HPE h8-1110 and trying to reset your Windows 7 password using Safe Mode with Command Prompt, here are the steps you can follow only if you have access to an administrator account or can boot into Safe Mode with Command Prompt:

Important Notes:

  • These steps are intended for legitimate recovery of your own system. HP does not support bypassing passwords on systems you do not own.
  • If you’re unable to access Safe Mode or don’t have admin rights, you may need to perform a system recovery or use a password reset disk.

Steps to Reset Password via Safe Mode with Command Prompt:

  1. Restart your PC and press F8 repeatedly before Windows starts loading.
  2. From the Advanced Boot Options, select Safe Mode with Command Prompt.
  3. Once the Command Prompt opens, type the following command to list user accounts: net user
  4. Identify the account you want to reset. Then type: net user <username> <newpassword>
  5. Replace <username> with your account name and <newpassword> with the new password you want to set.
  6. Example: net user JohnDoe MyNewPass123
  7. You should see a message saying the command completed successfully. Restart your PC and log in with the new password.

I hope your issue is now resolved. If not, feel free to reply and we’ll continue helping until everything’s sorted!
