For the last several weeks I have been unable to get passed the sign on screen of my PC. After putting in my 4 digit pin I get a message that states "credentials could not be verified." I've tried several different ways to bypass the log-in portion: starting in Safe Mode with Networking, Without Networking & by resetting my Microsoft password & attempting to log in with it. However, nothing works. Occasionally, I will receive the following error message: 0xc000006d, substatus: 0x0. I would be grateful for some assistance.

If your computer is connected to your cable-modem (or DSL modem) via an Ethernet cable, disconnect that cable. Then power-on the computer. Does it ask you for a password for a "local" (not "network-connected") account?
On another computer, can you logon to http://login.live.com to set (or reset) your PIN?
