I have had the same experience both with the machine and with service, but I have gradually mostly resolved the issue and I outline the measures I employed.
Firstly during one of several returns to the repair depot they installed Windows 11 Enterprise as opposed to the Home edition. I'm not sure this made an awful lot of difference.
I repeatedly updated BIOS as new versions were issues. Again I'm not sure this is what resolved the issue.
I rejected HP driver updates and instead downloaded the NVIDIA app as well as that from Intel - and I perform 'clean updates' whenever anything presents. I'm about 99.9% cured and assume a setting or something was wrong with one of the drivers.
However, it has not been a reliable machine as the screen itself is now beginning to fail and I'm very disappointed in it. It just does not have the build quality of previous all-in-one machines that I bought from VAIO - and which 14 years on are struggling badly, but are still going on.
