OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC GT22-0000a (4E977AV)

Hi,

I would like some more information about the mainboard for my Omen 45L that I can't find in the manual

- Does the motherboard support DDR5 Ram?
- Does the motherboard support a second Nvme M.2 SSD on PCI4?
- Does the case fit an ATX board? I think it is currently a Mico ATC board
- What is the connector below the graphics card?

regards

Hi @Ron_lapaz

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Your PC has a B550 chipset. Check HanaAOC MB specs at this HP Site.

The MB only supports DDR4 memory.

The second M.2 socket supports PCIe 3.0 data transfer rates. But Gen 4 NVME drives will work in this M.2 socket.

The 45L case supports ATX MBs. You might have to adjust MB standoff locations in the case if you do a ATX MB.

The connector below the graphics card is probably the second M.2 socket. Does it look like the following image?

Hi @Ron_lapaz

My pleasure.

That looks like a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot.

You could add a capture card or or an audio card. The slot should support PCIe x1 or PCIe x4 devices.

The only caveat would be: this slot could be disabled if you install a second M.2 drive. The chipset has a limited amount of available PCIe lanes.
