@usherveenkandu9, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Computer Power Issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP computer is turning on and off repeatedly, and sometimes displaying a red light, this could indicate a hardware issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

Check the Power Supply:

  • Ensure the power cable is securely connected to the computer and the power outlet.
  • Try using a different power outlet or a different power cable if available.

Inspect the Hardware Connections:

  • Open the computer case and check that all internal components are well connected. Look for loose cables, and ensure the RAM, hard drive, and other components are properly seated.

Check for Overheating:

  • Overheating can cause the computer to shut down to prevent damage. Ensure that the fans are spinning and the vents are not blocked.
  • Clean the inside of the computer case to remove dust.

Run a Diagnostic Test:

  • HP computers often come with built-in diagnostic tests that can help identify hardware issues. Run these tests to check the status of the hardware components.

Listen for Beep Codes:

  • If your computer emits a series of beeps when trying to start, these beep codes can help diagnose the issue. Refer to the HP support documentation for your model to understand what the beep codes mean.

Red Light Indicators:

  • The red light may indicate a failure of a component. Refer to the HP support documentation for your model to find out what the red light status indicates.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
