Hi @NattyTeddy,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
There are a few things that you can try to troubleshoot the issue.
- Check the power source: Make sure that your computer is properly plugged into a working electrical outlet or power strip, and that the power outlet is functioning properly.
- Check the power cord: Ensure that the power cord is properly connected to both the computer and the power source. If you have a spare power cord, you can try replacing the current one.
- Check the power supply: If the power supply unit (PSU) is not working properly, it can prevent the computer from turning on. You can try resetting the power supply or replacing it with a new one.
- Check for hardware issues: If there is a hardware issue, such as a faulty motherboard or a failed component, the computer may not start.
- Perform a hard reset: Sometimes, performing a hard reset can help resolve the issue. To do this, unplug the computer from the power source, remove the battery (if applicable), and hold down the power button for 15-20 seconds. Then, plug the computer back in and try turning it on again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
