So I was using my PC and suddenly the screen froze, I pressed the power button and used hotkeys but it wasn't budging. I unplugged it and now every time I turn it on theres a long black screen and it says there was a windows error, the code was 0xc0000185. I went in advanced settings tried trouble shooting and I got no answers, I think it's something with my SSD so I tried seeing if it was somehow unplugged but nope it's fine. I assume it's a software issue, please help.

hi
I went in advanced settings tried trouble shooting and I got no answers,
so as not to give the same indications, what exactly have you tried?
unplugging the computer, can be risky, either it's just deleted/corrupted files or hardware problem
"The Boot Configuration Data for your PC is missing or contains certain errors," followed by the error code.
is it this error ?

Ok so I looked online for solutions I already tried rebuilding the BCD but when I entered "attrib c:\boot\bcd -h -r -s" it said "C:\boot path not found" or something along those lines. I also tried executing a system restore but it said I need to specify which windows installation I want to restore. The page my PC opens up with looks like a bios page "Windows boot manager" and it says windows failed to start all in black and white. that's all I've tried so far

That doesn't look like it the same problem, I read that page and tried some solutions from it and it looks like the issue on that page isn't the same. They at least have access to windows on some form since I see they're running the command prompt from it.

what do you have in the steps mentioned?
At the prompt, type the bootrec command as shown below, and then press Enter:
bootrec /rebuildbcd
The bootrec command will search for Windows installations not included in the BCD and then ask you if you'd like to add one or more to it.
You should see one of the following messages at the command line.
Option 1
Option 2
if nothing works here, then tried accessing the system disk to recover, the data
and perform a recovery
it can be a material problem!
You can try a bootable cd / dvd type live cd (linux)

you can try removing the hard drive, in order to connect it to another computer internally, or with a usb adapter!

If your disk is not completely out of order, this gives you a small chance
