My Pavilion Desktop keeps randomly shutting down

Have a Pavilion desktop, PC TP01-2000a. It keeps randomly turning off. Happened 3 times in 24 hours.

It's only a year old.

Have you tried using HP Hardware Diagnostics to check your PC's hardware?

Check your PC's hardware using HP Diagnostics as follows:

Start the PC. Repeatedly tap the "ESC" key.

Select "F2". Run extensive system and component tests to confirm: a drive problem, a memory problem, or other component problem.

Is your PC turning off or restarting?

PC shutdowns or system restarts:

Abrupt shutdowns could be thermal related or some type of power delivery problem. Such as a failing power supply or a MB/component over-voltage event. PSU protection circuits kick in to prevent component damage.

System restarts could be caused by buggy drivers, possible corrupt Windows system files, or an intermittent hardware fault. 

Have you checked: Windows Event viewer or Security>Maintenance>Reliability history for any clues?

Some hardware events may not appear because the system shuts down before Windows can record the event. In this scenario you may only see an improper system shutdown event.

You might need to contact HP Support if the PC is in warranty. Or have a local PC Tech take a look.
