Hi @BatLyn,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP all-in-one computer is not recognizing a working USB keyboard, which is preventing you from logging in. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check the USB connection
Unplug the keyboard and connect it to a different USB port on the computer.
Avoid using USB hubs or extensions—plug it directly into the system.

Try another keyboard or test the current one
If available, connect a different USB keyboard to the computer.
You can also test your current keyboard on another device to confirm it responds correctly.

Power reset the computer
Turn off the computer completely and disconnect the power cable.
Hold the power button for 15 seconds, then reconnect the power and turn the system back on.

Check if the keyboard works in BIOS
Restart the computer and repeatedly tap the Esc key while it powers on.
If the keyboard works on the startup menu, the issue is likely related to Windows rather than hardware.

Use on-screen keyboard to log in
On the Windows sign-in screen, select the Ease of Access icon.
Choose On-Screen Keyboard and use the mouse to enter your password or PIN.

Disable Fast Startup (after logging in)
Once logged in, open Control Panel > Power Options.
Turn off Fast Startup, then restart the computer to refresh USB detection.

Check Device Manager for USB or keyboard issues
After logging in, open Device Manager and expand Keyboards and Universal Serial Bus controllers.
Look for warning icons and restart the computer after any automatic driver refresh.

I hope this helps.
