i did follow your instructions to the T..i did exactly as you stated . the bios ran for a sec  and went right back to the start. i restarted thinking that it might have worked but nope...i tried 2.26 2.27 and 2.28 and still won't update.

I can't help you then, if you copied the files from the DOS flash folder to a FAT32-formatted USB flash drive, restarted the PC, went into the F10 setup utility, etc etc.

ok Tks a bunch for your help. It must be bios that's not upgradable i guess...ill keep messing with it..

That's the first time I've ever heard of that not working  

 

That's the method I use all the the time for many different model HP Elite business desktops.

 

Never had a problem.
