I have multiple instances of Windows 11 in my boot menu and, after a required update, my system is stuck in a boot loop.

@DarrylMcG, Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're stoked to have you on board!

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please share your HP unit's serial number or product number with us via private message?

Need help finding your product number? We've got you covered! Check out this handy guide:  Click here

To access your private messages, simply click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile name.

Meanwhile you may go through this:

Since you have multiple instances of Windows 11 in your boot menu, your system might be confused about which one to load. First, try Advanced Startup Mode by forcefully shutting down your PC three times in a row (hold the power button until it turns off as soon as you see the Windows logo). After the third time, Windows should enter Automatic Repair Mode. From there, select Advanced options > Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair and let Windows attempt to fix itself.

If the boot loop continues, boot into Safe Mode by selecting Startup Settings > Restart > Enable Safe Mode from the Advanced options menu. Once in Safe Mode, uninstall the last update by going to Settings > Windows Update > Update history > Uninstall updates.

As a last resort, you can perform a System Restore (if you have restore points) or Reset this PC while keeping your files. If nothing works, we might need to do a manual repair using a bootable USB. Let me know how far you get, and we’ll take it from there! 💪

Take care and have a good day.
