Hi @JJG1943,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I’m sorry you’re going through this; I understand the concern and don’t worry I’ll help you with this.

To help me understand the situation better, could you please share a bit more information?

 Please let me know:

  1. Exact Model
    • What is the exact model number of your HP All-in-One desktop?
    • This helps us check the official beep codes for your specific unit.
  2. Beep Pattern
    • You mentioned three long, three short beeps  does it repeat continuously or just once?
    • Does the screen display anything at all when this happens?
  3. Recent Changes
    • Did you move the desktop carefully, or was it jolted/shaken?
    • Any components may have come loose during the move (RAM, storage drives, cables)?
  4. Power & Peripherals
    • Are any peripherals connected during startup (USB drives, external keyboard/mouse)?
    • Have you tried starting with only the power cable connected?
  5. Display Check
    • Does the monitor show any HP logo or messages, or is it completely black?

Initial Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Power Reset
    • Disconnect the power cable
    • Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds
    • Reconnect the power cable and try starting again
  2. BIOS Recovery :

To perform a BIOS recovery on an HP All-in-One, first ensure the computer is off and plugged in. Try the key combination method by pressing and holding the Windows + B keys, then pressing the power button for a few seconds, and releasing the power button while continuing to hold Windows + B until the BIOS screen appears or beeps are heard.

  1. Remove Peripherals
    • Disconnect all USB devices and external drives, then start the desktop
  2. HP Diagnostic LEDs / Beep Codes
    • Once we confirm the exact model, we can cross-check the three long, three short beep code to identify whether it’s memory, graphics, or motherboard related

I hope this helps.
