My computer goes to sleep and when I wake it up the screen is locked and I have to reboot it.  Any reason why this happens?  Thank you!

You may need a bios or driver update to fix the sleep problem.  Alternatively start using hibernate instead of sleep.

Your product ID is missing and I can only guess which is not good enought

Look for your product ID and go here https://support.hp.com/au-en/drivers/desktops

put it in and see if your bios and drivers are current.

I assume you have HP's support assistant.  Bring it up and click on updates and follow instructions

I will tell my elderly brother and hope he tries this.  If and when he does, I will reply with a positive or negative reply. He is not very patient with technological issues.  Thank you for your prompt reply!
