I don’t know how to get pass this screen. I don’t even know how I got here. I was in the middle of using my computer and all of a sudden it reboots and this pops up. I’ve tried entering the recovery key, I’ve tried multiple different options and nothing works. Can someone please tell me how to get back into my laptop please and thank you.

Greetings @zp22

Welcome to the HP Forum.

BitLocker prevents unauthorized access to the encrypted disk.

Unfortunately, the owner of the system, having the correct BitLocker Recovery key, may lose disk access if: the TPM is corrupted or if BitLocker is not disabled prior to a BIOS update.

This is why I don't use BitLocker on Win Pro or Device Encryption on Win Home.

Sadly you will have to reinstall Windows and you will lose all system drive data if the correct BitLocker Recovery key fails.

You can check to see if your PC can do a HP Cloud Recovery Here.

More info on doing a HP Cloud Recovery can be reviewed at this HP Site.

Turn off BitLocker after reinstalling Windows if you don't need BitLocker. You won't have this problem again.

Regards
