Hi,

I would start by using compressed air or a dust buster to get rid of the dust. Excessive dust buildup is bad for electronics.

Disconnect the PC from AC power. Depress the power on button to drain residual power from the MB before you clean.

Your PC is over ten years old. You could also have one or more failing components; the dust buildup could be the culprit.

Troubleshooting what part has failed can be tedious and requires known good replacement parts.

It might be best to have a local PC technician diagnose the problem.

Regards
