Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

The desktop is not booting. It shows the F9 (boot menu) and F10 (setup) options at the bottom of the screen, but on pressing these buttons, neither the boot menu nor setup comes. It simply shows a blinking cursor at the top-left of the screen, and displays the PC model number at the bottom right of the screen. Nothing happens beyond this point.

Hi,

Run HP UEFI Hardware Diagnostics if possible. This may not work. Sounds like your PC is non-responsive.

Start the PC. Tap "ESC". Select "F2".

Run system tests.

I would say you have some type of hardware problem if you can't troubleshoot using diagnostics.

You may need HP factory service or a local PC tech.

Regards
