My laptop has a black screen saying “boot device not found”

“please install an operating system on your had disk”

“hard disk-(3F0)”

I have never had a hard disk or thumb drive inserted in my laptop so I don’t know how to fix this. Please help 🙏🏼

That type of error indicate the drive failed in your laptop.

Check to see if there is a hardware problem: Watch this video.

Tap the ESC key after powering on. Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics.

If a component fails during the UEFI test then it needs to be replaced.

The is a slight possibility that the drive got corrupted and the system just cannot boot up.

If the UEFI reports the drive is defective then it needs to be replaced.

You obtain a replacement part, disassemble the laptop, replace the drive and reinstall the OS and all software.

You can also have it done by a professional.
