Hi @Sigma99,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
We understand your OMEN 17 notebook has powered off unexpectedly and will no longer turn on. We're here to help. Please follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Step 1: Perform a Hard Reset (Power Reset)
- Disconnect the power adapter from your OMEN.
- Unplug all external devices (USBs, headphones, etc.).
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to drain any residual charge.
- Connect the power adapter only (no battery if it's removable), and try powering it on again.
Step 2: Check Power Supply and LED Indicators
- Ensure the power adapter LED (near the charging port) lights up when connected.
- If the LED does not light up: Try another compatible HP charger if available.
- If it does light up but the system won’t start, continue below.
Step 3: BIOS Restore:
1) Shut down the computer, keep the charger plugged in
2) Hold down the Windows and B buttons together while the computer is still turned off.
3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B buttons until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
4) Follow the on-screen instructions and click on OK.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
