OMEN by HP 25L Gaming Desktop PC GT15-1000i (6J775AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I own an Omen pc and it works just fine nothing is laggy it has good speed, but recently it started randomly not turning on. It started of with a simple double click to get it started and I thought nothing of it since there was a chance I just did not press hard enough. That was until it did not turn on at all for a full day and once I tried again it worked. Nothing was wrong it was still good speed and no lag as usual. Then it happened again and since then its been happening. I do recall one time when i turned on my pc for a split second my screen was black with a waring about a fan, but it did not even last a full second so I had no time to read what it said completely. I thought it might of been a glitch or mistake since the pc worked just fine and all my fans seemed ok. Today I took of the clear case to see what was happening and why it was not working I thought maybe cable was disconnected some how or something like that, but everything was fine. I let my gut get to me and i decided to give the fans a spin by had and click the turn on button, nothing happened until I did it to the top fan that opposite side from the omen logo where the start button is. It worked it turned on it has no issue there's once again no lag and everything is working. I really don't want to mess this pc up I saved up for months maybe even a year and a half. I really need answers on how I could fix this problem.

@sharkmel, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Random Start-Up Issues on HP Omen PC!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It seems like your HP Omen PC is experiencing random start-up issues. This can sometimes be linked to fan or power-related problems. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Power Supply:

  • Ensure that the power cord is securely connected to both the PC and the power outlet.
  • Try using a different power outlet or power cord to rule out any problems with the existing power source.

Inspect Fans and Ventilation:

  • Ensure that all the PC's fans are operating correctly. Sometimes, dust buildup can cause fans to malfunction.
  • Clean the inside of your PC case, especially around the fans and ventilation areas, to remove any dust or debris.

Check for Loose Connections:

  • Open your PC case and inspect all internal connections. Ensure that all cables, including power cables to the motherboard and other components, are securely attached.
  • Make sure the RAM and other components are firmly seated in their respective slots.

BIOS and Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure that your BIOS and firmware are up to date. You can check for updates on the HP Support website here.

Run Hardware Diagnostics:

  • HP provides built-in diagnostics tools that can check the health of your hardware. Restart your PC and press the F2 key to enter the diagnostics menu. Run the extensive scan to check for any hardware-related issues.

Check Event Viewer:

  • Open Event Viewer in Windows (Win + R, type eventvwr, and press Enter) and check for any critical errors or warnings that could give you a clue about the underlying issue.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
