Hi @Ytnrpyy,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP PC is stuck on a blue screen and you're unable to perform a reset or repair, you can try the following steps.

Hard Reset

  • Turn off the PC completely.
  • Unplug the power cable from the PC.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15-30 seconds to discharge any residual power.
  • Plug the power cable back in and turn on the PC.

Boot into Safe Mode

  • Restart the PC and repeatedly press the F8, F11, or Shift + F8 key (depending on your PC model) during startup.
  • If successful, this should bring up the Advanced Boot Options menu.
  • Select Safe Mode and see if you can boot into Windows.

Use Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE)

If you can't get into Safe Mode, try accessing the Windows Recovery Environment:

  • Turn off the PC and then turn it on.
  • As soon as the HP logo appears, press the F11 key repeatedly.
  • This should take you to the Recovery Environment.
  • Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options.
  • Try Automatic Repair again or use Startup Repair.
  • If these don't work, select System Restore to revert to a previous working state.

Check Boot Order and BIOS Settings

  • Restart the PC and enter BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing F2, F10, F12, or Esc during startup).
  • Check the boot order to ensure the hard drive is set as the primary boot device.
  • Make sure that Secure Boot and Fast Boot are configured correctly.

Create a Bootable USB Drive

  • If you can't repair the system using the recovery options, create a bootable USB drive with Windows installation media on another working PC:
    • Download the Windows Media Creation Tool from the Microsoft website.
    • Follow the instructions to create a bootable USB drive.
    • Insert the USB drive into the problematic PC and boot from it (you might need to change the boot order in BIOS).
    • Choose Repair your computer from the Windows Setup screen.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
