alright. received a gaming desktop from a friend I'm trying to fix. for some reason, he turned off his desktop halfway though a bios update and it corrupted the recovery files on the nvme? and bios? anyways, the bios is corrupted. when I turn on the pc it says its trying to recover the bios, fails and says I need to download the bios files and create a bios recovery flash drive. well I tried downloading the files on another computer, which DOESNT give me the actual bios files, tries to update on my personal computer instead which doesn't work for me. I can't find ACTUAL bio files, only updates that ONLY run under software. when I do look for files under this certain system (tg01-2003w) it claims my board is erica6, its not, looking at the board it says erica3_erica5. I'm pretty tech savvy, I've tried everything but actually try to flash the bios, because I CANT find actual bios files. yes I tried holding down B and windows key, turning it on, or the V key and windows key, doesn't work. I just want to know where I can find a FULL BIOS file, so I can repair this. thanks!!

Hi:
The motherboard specs for the TG01-2003w PC indicate that it has an Erica6 motherboard with a SSID of 8906.

See if this works:
Plug a USB flash drive into a working PC's USB port.
Download and run this BIOS update on another PC.

It should only give you one option, after you click Next, and that is to create a recovery USB flash drive to recover another HP device.
I just used the above file and a USB flash drive on my Dell Optiplex 7020 MT to create a BIOS recovery drive for the HP TG01-2003w PC.
After the process has completed you should see a message with instructions for how to recover the BIOS on the PC where the update had failed:
1. Power off the device to be recovered.
2. Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port.
3. Power on the device.
4. The device may reboot up to 3 times with indicator lights on the keyboard flashing, or the screen appearing blank for short time.
Hopefully, that will fix the problem for you.
That would be the only suggestion I can offer.

i will go ahead and try this, and yes even though the model says the board is an erica6, when I open up the case and look at the board, it says ID19 erica3_erica5. if this works I will let you know, thanks again.

You're very welcome.
The parts list also indicates the PC came with an Erica6 motherboard and an AMD Ryzen5-5600G processor.
The Erica5 motherboard does not support an AMD Ryzen5-5600G processor.
