Please help: I have the aforementioned IPISB-CH2 board computer, and I wanted to upgrade the GPU with Nvidia Gforce 980 Armor. However, when I insert that graphic, Windows freezes on the logo. At the moment I am not able to replace the motherboard, so if there is any setting in the BIOS or similar, I would be grateful. Greeting.

Hi:

Unfortunately, since the most recent BIOS version you can install in your PC is 7.12, no Nvidia graphics card newer than a GT(X) 6xx will work as those require BIOS version 8.1x or newer.

These are the graphics cards HP offered in PC's with the IPISB-CH2 motherboard.

  • GeForce GT 530 (2 GB)
  • GeForce GT 545 (3 GB)
  • GeForce GTX 550i (1 GB)
  • Radeon HD 6450 (1 GB)
  • Radeon HD 6570 (1 GB)
  • Radeon HD 6670 (1 GB)

I'm so disappointed in HP.
I have a much older MSI board on which the mentioned graphics work without any problems.

Flash a modified BIOS image to your IPISB-CH2.

I own the same motherboard and it works perfectly even for GTX 1650 Super.

If you are not experienced in flashing BIOS, please, ask someone to do it for you.
