OK, I performed the August 2024 Windows 11 update and it broke my system. It rebooted into a black screen after the update, No BIOS or login screen, no sounds at all. Windows is dead. Cannot access the OS to troubleshoot. Tried going straight into the BIOS by mashing the ESC key. Still a black screen, but I can tell it's in the BIOS by the beeps. I turn it off and unplug from power. I remove the Nvidia T1000 graphics card from the motherboard and plug the monitor DP cable into the motherboard's Intel DP port and power on. It comes up with a display that shows the HP boot screen, then but says the system is damaged and it tries to repair. It's not successful. I go into the blue Troubleshoot screen. Diagnostics say everything is OK. Try to repair Windows, it says it can't. I can't really use a restore point because the graphics setup is now different. I try Safe Mode to check the Nvidia driver. It can't get into that either. It cannot go into Windows at all. I try booting into the BIOS to check things in this configuration. Everything is OK and it has the most recent up to date BIOS. Diagnostic tests confirm no issues, but the only thing I can't test is the Nvidia card when I go into a deep diagnostic check because it's not installed.
I'm down to reinstalling Windows, but I'm not sure that will work and I certainly can't do that with the original hardware configuration now inoperative since I don't have a display with it installed. I do not have a reinstall disk or USB from HP, so I will lose all the HP Software if I do reinstall. I opened a support ticket with HP, but no response so far. Any ideas to fix my now bricked brand new HP system? I am not happy with HP right now because they've done this before with firmware updates to other users.
